Conservation and Sustainability

Fiesta Conch is a festival that celebrates unique seafood, but there is a growing concern regarding the sustainable harvesting practices of conch. Overfishing has led to a decline in conch populations in some areas. Therefore, the festival organizers and vendors are making efforts to educate festival attendees about responsible consumption and the significance of supporting efforts to protect and sustain conch resources for future generations.

The Fiesta Conch food experience offers more than just a chance to savor delectable meals. It’s also an occasion to interact with time-honored culinary techniques, explore novel tastes, and gain insight into the cultural value of the conch in seaside societies. By partaking in these dishes, guests can develop an appreciation for the diverse marine life present in the ocean and the need to safeguard it for future generations.

A wonderful option for a healthy dinner. This dish is fully self-sufficient and doesn't require any additions for an evening meal. A complete portion of protein combined with carbohydrates and fiber from vegetables is exactly what you need for light satiety and optimal digestion in the evening (especially if you're aiming to lose weight). However, if you want to prepare this dish for lunch, complement it with a side of complex carbohydrates to achieve a well-balanced nutrient intake (for example, whole grain pasta, quinoa, rice, or another cooked whole grain. Potatoes or sweet potatoes also make good options as a side dish).
