How to Store Mexican Shrimp Cocktail

Shrimp cocktail is most delicious the same day it’s made, but cooked shrimp will last 3-4 days in the refrigerator. Store in an airtight container or tightly wrapped in plastic for best results.

To freeze Mexican shrimp cocktails, portion out small servings and place them in plastic bags. Minimize exposure by placing the bags in an airtight container. Thaw and gently reheat the shrimp on the stovetop.

A fantastic appetizer recipe that makes a wonderful snack or addition to any main meal at any gathering and fits almost any dietary plan (except vegan, of course). This recipe is particularly great for those aiming to lose weight and monitor calorie intake. It provides everything for quality satiation and maintaining a beautiful figure, as well as nourishing your skin. High-quality and easily digestible protein from shrimp helps preserve muscle mass and satisfy hunger without extra calories. The healthy fats from avocado calm the nervous system and help you feel energetic and satisfied for hours. I can even recommend this appetizer as a full dinner option for weight loss because it effectively satisfies and nourishes the body, preventing you from going to bed hungry (which is crucial for weight loss).

I love making this delicious shrimp cocktail for my family, especially during hot summer days. Being a Mexican family, we always add Mexican hot sauce and serve it with saltine crackers on the side. To make the perfect cocktail, it's important to start with well-chilled shrimp, ketchup, and tomato juice cocktail. After chilling for only one hour in the fridge, it will be ready to serve. If you want to give it a bit more kick, you can add more hot sauce and avocado slices to taste. Enjoy!

For an extra layer of complexity, consider marinating the shrimp in the lime-onion mixture for an extended period, even overnight. This allows the flavors to meld and infuse the shrimp thoroughly, enhancing their taste and tenderness. The result is a Mexican Shrimp Cocktail that reaches new heights of deliciousness. Don't rush the marination process—let time be your ally in achieving culinary perfection!
